Dripstop
DripStop is a highly effective moisture control solution for metal roofs, particularly in environments where condensation is a concern. This factory-applied felt-like membrane is adhered directly to the underside of metal panels during manufacturing. When warm, moist air rises and meets the cooler surface of a metal roof, condensation naturally forms. DripStop works by absorbing that moisture and holding it until it can safely evaporate as temperatures rise, protecting the structure and its contents.
Ideal for agricultural, commercial, and even some residential applications, DripStop eliminates the need for traditional insulation or vapor barriers in many non-conditioned buildings. It’s especially useful in post-frame buildings, barns, and warehouses where internal humidity is high but temperature control is minimal. Installation is efficient since the membrane is pre-applied, saving time and labor costs on-site.
In addition to its moisture-blocking benefits, DripStop is durable, resistant to tearing, and helps reduce noise from rain and wind. It also contributes to a cleaner, finished interior appearance. With low maintenance requirements and no need for glue or additional materials, DripStop provides a reliable, cost-effective solution to a common problem in metal roofing systems.
A metal roof is a roofing system featuring metal pieces or tiles exhibiting corrosion resistance, impermeability to water, and long life. It is a component of the building envelope. The metal pieces may be a covering on a structural, non-waterproof roof, or they could be self-supporting sheets.
